I fall in and out of love with my naturally curly hair (hey, better it than my boyfriend). So when I came across this curly hair slideshow on stylist.com, it made me want to wear my hair curly. It also got me thinking: Celebrities embrace their curls when they first come on the scene (maybe it makes them standout?) but erase them (aka flat-iron and smooth the shit out of them) as they rise in the fame ranks. Cases in point: Brooke Shields, Mariah Carey, J.Lo, Nicole Kidman—the list goes on.
